Smoked Fish Dip

I think this fish dip recipe is world-class and puts most others to shame! It is served in several prominent restaurants on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Serve with crackers, lemon or lime wedges, and capers.

- 2 cups flaked smoked whitefish
- 4 tablespoons fat-free sour cream
- 2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise
- 4 drops hot pepper sauce or to taste
- 3 drops Worcestershire sauce or to taste
- 3 drops liquid smoke flavoring Optional
- 1 pinch seafood seasoning such as Old Bay
- cracked black pepper to taste
Gather the ingredients.
Place whitefish, sour cream, and mayonnaise in the bowl of a food processor; season with hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, seafood seasoning, and cracked black pepper.
Blend until combined with a spread-like consistency.
Cook’s Note
We use well-boned smoked whitefish, but any other smoked fish should work.
