A tasty and tangy green salsa that may be used for cooking or on top of Mexican-style foods. Adjust the amount of jalapeño to taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 tomatillos husked
  • 3 shallots
  • 1 4 ounce can chopped green chile peppers
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 fresh jalapeño pepper seeded
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place tomatillos, shallots, green chile peppers, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely chopped. Pour salsa into a serving bowl; cover and chill in the refrigerator until serving.
