Ingredients
  

  • 29 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 10.5 ounce can condensed chicken broth undiluted
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • ΒΌ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Combine tomatoes, chicken broth, butter, sugar, onion, and baking soda in a large stock pot.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Stir in cream until heated through.
