This yogurt waffle recipe is rich and soft with lots of taste. The batter is thick and will spread some on its own.
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups vanilla fat-free yogurt
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add yogurt, flour, shortening, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to eggs; mix until smooth.
- Pour batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Cook until no longer steaming, about 5 minutes.
