This sweet and tangy salad dressing recipe, which includes a secret ingredient of ketchup, has been in our family for four generations. We keep passing it on because it's so good, and we also share it with our guests who want it.
Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup white wine vinegar
- ½ cup white sugar or to taste
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 onion finely chopped
Instructions
- Add oil, vinegar, sugar, ketchup, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and onion to a large jar with a tight-fitting lid. Shake until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate and shake well before using.
Notes
This recipe was edited to use 1/2 cup white sugar based on user feedback. The original recipe called for 1 cup. Adjust the recipe to suit your taste.
